\nMathias Duhamel est n\u00e9 en 1956. Form\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cole des Beaux-Arts d\u2019Amiens puis \u00e0 l\u2019Ecole des Arts Appliqu\u00e9s de Paris, il a suivi un long parcours artistique avant de se consacrer \u00e0 la peinture \u00e0 partir de 1998. Artiste peintre, il expose en France, au Royaume-Uni et aux USA. Il est \u00e9galement auteur compositeur de chansons. Sensible \u00e0 l\u2019art du th\u00e9\u00e2tre, Mathias Duhamel a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 r\u00e9unir musique et peinture sur sc\u00e8ne \u00e0 partir de 2006. Pour lui, la peinture sur sc\u00e8ne se joue comme de la musique. Son approche artistique est fond\u00e9e sur l\u2019apparition et la disparition de mati\u00e8res, de formes et de couleurs dans le temps et non sur leur organisation d\u00e9finitive sur une toile. En concert, Mathias Duhamel agit comme un peintre soliste qui interpr\u00e8te les \u0153uvres de compositeurs classiques ou contemporains en suivant sa partition picturale. Comme une succession de sc\u00e8nes de film, son \u0153uvre \u00e9volue tout au long du concert en se conformant aux r\u00e8gles temporelles de la musique, aux rythmes et aux mouvements. Quand la musique prend fin, la m\u00e9lodie visuelle s\u2019estompe dans le m\u00eame temps et se fond dans le silence. Seule la m\u00e9moire conserve les \u00e9motions v\u00e9cues. Ses performances sont souvent imagin\u00e9es \u00e0 la suite de rencontres avec des chefs d\u2019orchestre, des quatuors, des trios ou des solistes. Ses performances qui associent musique et peinture – et qu\u2019il appelle \u201cConcerts de Peinture\u201d\u00ae – ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 eu lieu \u00e0 Paris et dans diff\u00e9rentes villes en France, \u00e0 New York et Moscou.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mathias Duhamel was born in 1956. Trained at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Amiens and then at the High School of Applied Arts in Paris, he has been following a long artistic career before to devote himself to painting from 1998. As a painter, his works are exhibited in France, in the United Kingdom and in the USA as well. He is also a songwriter author. Interested in the art of theater, Mathias Duhamel began to gather music and painting on stage from 2006. To him, live painting must be considered as a music play. His art approach is based on the appearance and disappearance of matters, shapes and colors over time and not on their final organization on a canvas. In concert, Mathias Duhamel acts as a soloist painter who performs works of classical and contemporary composers according to his pictorial score. Like a succession of movie scenes, his work evolves throughout the concert time by conforming to the temporal rules of music, rhythms and movements. When the music ends, the visual melody becomes silent at the same time. Only memory preserves the lived emotions. His performances are often imagined after meetings with music directors, orchestras, quartets, trios or soloists. His live performances of live painting and music – which he calls \u00ab\u00a0Concerts de Peinture\u201d\u00ae – have already taken place in Paris and in various cities in France, New York and Moscow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
